Hey all! After deciding somewhat at the last minute that I actually had the wherewithal to participate in the AfterCamlann Big Bang this year, I was lucky enough to snag the summary by blacktail_chorus, whose fusion with His Dark Materials made for some amazing visuals.

Summary: The world-worn Mr Pettigrew has only one ambition in life, and that is to be a gentleman’s gentleman. Having just been summarily dismissed from his current post, down to his last pennies – and with another Great War looming over London – even this modest goal now seems far beyond his reach. At his lowest ebb, he grasps at an opportunity – and suddenly the shabby yet proper old man finds himself awhirl amidst the glamorous immoral world of beautiful nightclub singer Sir Arthur Pendragon.

The weather played nice and I actually got to see blue sky! Which meant I could photograph the original and post this! Yay!
[ETA: because I am a goober, and I forgot, but wouldn't have gotten this done nearly as well without the beta help from reni_m, amphigoury, and phoenixacid. The cheering squad also known as everyone on gsdmerlin was also invaluable! Happy Valentine's Day, guys!]

More Gaius for mrs_leary

Clicking makes the picture bigger!
I know, I draw him a lot. But there is a lack of Gaius in the fandom, and I'm just working to help restore the balance or something like that. Had completely ridiculous amounts of fun with Merlin, shamelessly used a reference screencap (guess the episode and scene!), and completely forwent the idea of a background. Medium is a boring old #2 pencil, it's what was handy. :D

Merlin Zodiac Project: Gaius as Taurus

drawmelot for a collaboration. It was really interesting to learn what makes Gaius's expressions tick. Turns out you have to rumple up his chin as well as getting the eyebrow and tilt to the mouth right to indicate he's not quite smiling. Otherwise it looks like he's frowning at you. It took a few tries, but I finally got it. :D
