The puppy-est of puppy dog eyes, it looks like he's been taking lessons from Moose.

This is a bit of an unusual angle for most of us, except maybe Joonas Suotamo, in that we are significantly higher than Adam, and he's looking up at us. The angle of his face and the lens of the camera accentuate the size and length of his nose since it's the bit of his face closest to us; the edge of his forehead, the angle of his cheekbones, and the point of his chin make a diamond shape framing the limpid intensity of his eyes, which are even further emphasized by those quirked eyebrows and deep creases in his brow. It's an excellent example of just how incredibly mobile Adam's face is.

I'd have given him whatever he was asking for and then promptly melted into a puddle and caught fire.

Many thanks to Sariah Wilson, who took the photo used for reference on 19 Jan 2020 at the SAG Awards. She very generously shared not only this photo, but an account of her experience meeting Adam in person, which you can read on Twitter; I'm very grateful to her for the opportunity to vicariously enjoy the excitement and energy of the event. I found it relatable in every way, including when she completely lost her words; I would absolutely be incapable of coherent speech myself in the same circumstances, and am not certain I would have had the presence of mind to take a photo like she did! I offer this painting of her photo as a thank you for her generosity.

About 11 hours of drawing time.
