I have to think it was more than a little fun to get to dress up like Han Solo, one of the perks of getting to play that most prodigal of sons.
Adam's perched on the edge of his seat, his expression poised on the edge of open delight. There's a grin in there, just waiting to spring forth, but this is that fraction of a second before the dimples begin to show.
At this moment, Adam is smiling almost entirely with the tiny muscles around his eyes. They're narrowed a fraction, the upper lids fully open, but his lower lids are tensed, pursing the skin, and you can see he's starting to crinkle just a bit at the corner of his left eye. The bigger muscles of his cheeks aren't engaged yet; there's only the barest hint of a smile line on the one side, the corners of his mouth are ever so slightly tipped up, and his dimples are still hiding. It makes for a subtle, Mona Lisa-esque, is it there or not, smile that still somehow manages to clearly convey his good humor.
But to me the best part is that I know how quickly this subdued expression can bloom into a full fledged grin, with rumples running up the sides of his face all the way past his temples.
