So, the lovely modly mods over at fanartivation came up with this one.
How many artworks have you created this year?
Thirteen (plus a few sketches) for Merlin, and the two grid project pieces, so 15 total. That's a lot, considering I made one fanart the previous year, and no art at all for about 10 years before that.
Have you mastered any new skills this year?
I wouldn't say I mastered it, but I got back into playing with actual ink this year. :D What I wouldn't give for the pen set I got to mess around with in high school all those years ago... *sigh*
Which art are you most proud of?
Oooh. Tough one. That would probably be a tie between "Branded" and "I Thought of the Right Words," but honestly I'm really proud of all of them!
Which art was the hardest to draw?
Definitely "I Thought of the Right Words." I needed to seriously brush up on my figure drawing for that one (I'm more of a portrait artist by inclination), and Bradley's face was really difficult for me for whatever reason.
Show us an art from 2010 and your latest art!
My first fandom art post ever was in 2010, and it was "Moonlit Floor." The latest was "Nothing If Not Game."
What are your art goals for the new year?
I'd like to continue to improve my inking skills, and I'd like to mess around with digital drawing a bit more like I did for "Questions and Answers." I'm also hoping to participate in another Merlin Big Bang this year; I love illustrating someone's story!

It would be fun to see what all everyone sees when they look at his face. :D He really does have a beautiful and distinctive eye shape; it's very different from Colin's (which I also find lovely, but then I find most of Colin lovely, lol).
I am really hoping to play with ink some more. I've got an idea for a piece I'm working on, that maybe I can thin the ink with a little water and "watercolor" with it for shading on things that need a really light touch, like non-wrinkly faces. We'll see how that goes! :D
