Well, it's that time of year again, where I do a bit of navel gazing, and wonder just where it all went.

Mediums used included graphite pencils, watercolor pencils, blending pencil, coffee, india ink, white sketchbook paper, toned textured paper, black paper, kneadable eraser, blending stumps, and a lot of love for Merlin, it's cast, it's crew, and it's fandom.
Thank you, Merlin, for giving me fandom. Thank you, fandom, for giving me another great year.
I discovered while making this that when working on several ideas at once I tend not to produce anything for a month or two, and then a whole bunch of pieces get completed in rapid succession as I reach critical mass. So I had fourteen pieces, but none that were done in July, August, October, or November, lol. But there were three in June (all of the ones for "The Dragon Within"), and four in September ("It's Complicated").
As a side note: I also discovered, while putting this together, another of those moments that amphigoury and I (as maybe many fanartists do?) seem to have every now and then, where somehow we seem to have drawn something (months or even years ahead) that ends up in the show or real life. I'd already noticed the stunning similarity between "Burdened" and one of the Radio Times photoshoot pics; mine got done in June, the photoshoot was late summer/early fall. And somewhere in the last few episodes I noticed a scene that was very similar to "Solutions to the Impossible." But the one I noticed yesterday has a pose reminds me very strongly of a particular scene in the last episode, and I know some of you haven't seen it yet, so it shall remain a guessing game as to which one it is. Those of you that have will know which one I'm talking about. It does make you wonder, who's looking at you from the other side of the 4th wall. Sheer hubris to think that my work might influence them, but still. It makes me wonder.

Seeing all the year in review work is reminding me I should do one too!
