Summary: In which I drew another remix of alby_mangroves' drawble, 'Bradley Has a Revelation' by having him walk in on Colin changing out of his Merlin costume just a few moments later than he did in alby's drawing.

Notes:So, apparently, I had another idea for a remix for this that just really, really, really wanted me to draw it. So I did, and here it is! Hugely huge thanks to my betas, reni_m and amphigoury, who helped this baby have back, terrible pun and song reference totally intended.

I actually had no idea you were doing this as a second remix until I saw it posted. It reminds me of the times I would go into school, sit down, only to discover I had a quiz that was scheduled but didn't know about. XD Clearly I'll just beta whatever gets put in front of me.

That said, I love this. There's something about a simple nude that just is so beautiful.

And yes, it was the simplicity of the idea that really drew me, and the elegant sufficiency of the spine and all those insanely complicated muscles and bones that somehow manage to make something so simply mesmerizing. Thank you for helping it to be amazing! *hugs*

Thanks! As well as being subtle, backs are ridiculously complicated things. I hauled out the anatomy references from my uni days to help me understand how it all goes together a little better. And then I used a really clear reference shot, LOL.

But! It was as sensual to draw as it looks, because I used my fingers to smudge that silky chalk. So it was a delight all the way around, really. :D

I so get the sensual part of drawing, I think that is why I enjoy pencil and charcoal the most because we have to use not only our utensils but our fingers. Maybe that is what sculptors feel too.

Anyway, great job. The research and loving fingers worked!

Absolutely! Art has always been very tactile for me, maybe it has to do with starting with finger painting as a very small child? I've just always interacted in a very direct, manual, way with whatever medium I use (including paint, which is why I don't paint these days, I haven't got a space I can get that messy, lol).
